Re: Extremely British Muslim
Catching up with my week as a Muslim.

To be honest everything about the way they act and all their excuses are of a culture that is totally backward, whether that is to do with Islam - or more specifically the extreme version of it propagated by the Salafists in this world - or just plain backwards Pakistani social culture. There is no excuse for it. Islam can be just as modern as every other religion, it just needs strong leaders to lead it there. Unfortunately they are thin on the ground in this century.

Do you like that Camel in the panel Gabrielle is it?, she is just a paid up member of the Anti-Muslim brigade, she is just shouting like a fucking bully and not making any sense, in Great Britain she would have been shut down immediately .
The lady in the audience asked a basic question and received a shitty loaded diatribe from the Camel faced witch.

Re: Extremely British Muslim
Two cultures that will never understand each other although I will say this apart from the way Muslims dress they would fit in to 1920's Britain pretty well.

There is a new culture these days of women drinking heavily with some who go through boyfriends like sandwiches that did not happen back in the 60's and early 70's now it is seen as an absolute human rite that women act exactly as men do which is a shitty thing in my opinion.
The programme in my mind was forced, I mean yes the two types of British people can live side by side, but understanding and respecting each other in today's world is going to be impossible, it is almost like having a political preference I am for example a small capital lefty who leans to the middle and I would never ever go right of centre never nor would I go too far to the left, this is something like that does that mean I cannot talk with Conservatives or break bread with them, no I do it every other week or month with my family .

I’d like to see a documentary about a 17 year old girl lost in Bethnal Green, see if she survives.

I’d like to see a documentary on a white bloke and his girlfriend walking around Whitechapel with a bottle of wine after a night out!

Document their experiences with the local boyos!

Re: Extremely British Muslim
Shockingly bad documentary.

If, as the Muslim woman (that's the actual Muslim woman, not the one dressed up) was at constant pains to make out, she was "British...I was born here" then why was the British woman dressed up as a "Pakistani muslim"? Why did the programme make references to the "Manchester Pakistani community"

It was, in some parts, toe-curlingly condescending. That shot of the Muslim woman wiping a tear from her cheek while watching the news about the Manchester bombing, the plinky-plonky incidental music, the constant references to the charity work etc etc

A couple of times, the facade slipped a bit..." I wouldn't let my daughter marry a non-Muslim", " I don't wear a niqab but I defend the choice of a woman to wear it"

Glad I watched it though
